Good morning.
Thanks to all of you for your input during the tcon on Wednesday. I captured some notes in the attached document. But I also some additional questions that I would like to understand prior to doing any major rewrites:
Projection Images:
When we talked about the Projection use cases we identified the four listed below
1) 3D CAD
2) Additional BTO Reconstructions
3) Technical Problem Solution
4) Review of Projection images
After I talked with Renate and Jeanne, I would like to clarify which images to use in which scenario.
· 3D CAD is out of scope for now, but I assume that would be done on the FOR PROCESSING images.
· What would the workflow look like, if you want to create addition reconstructions. Would you review the FOR PRESENTATION images first, or would this decision be made based on the Breast Tomosynthesis slices?
· For Technical Problem Solution, is that done based on the FOR PROCESSING or the FOR PRESENTATION images?
· For the review case I would assume that the FOR PRESENTATION images would be used. But is this really done in clinical routine.
Background of my question is that I really would like to understand,
· whether Image Displays need to be capable of retrieving, displaying both SOP Classes
· How much of the Display features (Background air suppression, Size adjustments, Contrast adjustments, image orientation, view port layouts, ... ) needs to be described in detail.
Reconstruction of Breast Tomosynthesis Objects at different slice thicknesses
From my understanding, additional Breast Tomosynthesis objects can be derived from either the FOR PROCESSING projection images or from a thin slice Breast Tomosynthesis Object.
· Is this assumption correct?
· If so, do we need to annotate them differently depending on the object type that was used to generate them?
· I would also assume that we need a requirement to prevent creation of new Breast Tomosynthesis objects from thick slice data, is that correct? Do we need to say something about it?
I would really appreciate your input on these questions. Thanks in advance.
Best regards
Antje
