MHD and XDS

Hello,

I have a question regarding XDS on FHIR option of MHD. It is written that "The Document Recipient that supports this option shall be able to be grouped with an XDS Document Source so that any publication request is passed on to that XDS environment ... The grouped XDS Document Source shall implement the Document Replacement, Option, Document Addendum Option, Document Transformation Option, and Folder Management Option to ensure that these functionalities can be transferred from the MHD Document Source through to the XDS Document Registry."

What happens if the XDS Document Source I am grouped with does not support one or several of these options? Non conformance or a request will simply fail? In the second case shall I specify that some of these options are not supported by my Document Recipient? Or should I simply not support "XDS on FHIR" option as I do not fully implement it?

I am not sure how to interpret MHD_042.
