2022 Connectathon Week
IHE-Europe is delighted to announce that the 2022 IHE-Europe Connectathon Week will take place in the beautiful alpine city of Montreux, Switzerland, 12-16 September 2022.
Situated on the north-east shore of naturally beautiful Lake Geneva, at the foot of the Alps - in the Swiss Canton of Vaud - Montreux is one of Switzerland’s pioneering tourist destinations.
It is now almost three years since the last, in person, European Connectathon in Rennes, France April 2019! Despite two very successful Online Connectathon experiences you simply cannot beat a full-on IHE-Europe Connectathon Week that incorporates the interoperability testing marathon that is the Connectathon, IHE-Suisse EPR Projectathon, European Experience Educational Sessions, VIP Tours of the Connectathon floor and the all-important networking opportunities for delegates / attendees, which collectively comprise the IHE-Europe Connectathon Week.
Montreux, with its mild climate, beautiful scenery and historical heritage – dating back to the Bronze Age - is ideally suited for the European Connectathon Week. Excellence of food and drink is guaranteed to make your visit both memorable, educational, enjoyable and of course unforgettable.
The 2022 IHE-Europe Connectathon will take place 12-16 September in the Montreux Music and Convention Centre, known as the “2m2c”, for what promises to be a truly outstanding Connectathon Week. 2m2c won the prestigious Stella Award as the Best International Convention Centre in 2020 and hosts prestigious events, one of them being the Montreux Jazz Festival providing young and old the opportunity to enjoy musical excellence in a world-class location with world-class services and facilities. Once home to Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Noel Coward, Dame Joan Sutherland, David Bowie and Freddie Mercury, to name just few of its musical greats, it is not surprising that music features heavily in the Swiss city of Montreux.

IHE Radiology White Paper – Artificial Intelligence (AI) Interoperability in Imaging
The IHE Radiology community recently published this white paper that lays out the building blocks (applications, use cases, and entities) for constructing interoperable solutions for AI in the medical and enterprise imaging space. It provides an organising framework and roadmap for creating profiles to support the creation, lifecycle and use of AI Datasets, Models and Applications across the Radiological Sciences. Aimed at vendors and users (including clinicians, developers and policy agencies) this document is a MUST READ for all associated with AI and medical imaging. Talents of eHealth
Congratulations to the IHE Gazelle team on reaching the nomination short list, in the Interoperability Category, at the recent “Talents De La é-santé” Awards Ceremony in France. Rewarding “Digital Health Project Innovators” this prestigious award nomination is testimony to many years of dedicated, often voluntary, work which has helped put IHE on the international map of interoperability testing and has seen the quality of healthcare blossom as a result. Congratulations to all involved.
