Hello Eric, Anne-Gaelle,

the view "Configurations->OIDs for current session" in Gazelle now contains labeled IDs and seems consistent with the Excel-Sheet sent around by Eric (apart from the prefix glitch with "urn:oid").
Thanks a lot for the quick help!

There is still one point I am a bit confused about.

An e-mail from Lynn from last week says:

>Specifically, XDS.b Document Registries and XCA Gateway actors are the only test systems which are specifically assigned to either a Red, Green, or Blue domain (assigning authority).

Now,
1) Are the homeCommunityIDs assigned to the systems OTHER_NIST_RED, OTHER_NIST_GREEN, OTHER_NIST_BLUE the homeCommunityIDs that Lynn refers to? Each XDS.b/XCA actor is assigned either urn:oid:1.3.6.1.4.1.21367.2011.2.6.5, urn:oid:1.3.6.1.4.1.21367.2011.2.6.8, urn:oid:1.3.6.1.4.1.21367.2011.2.6.9, right? If not, which are the "central" homeCommunityIDs for RED, GREEN, BLUE?

2) Where in Gazelle can I see to which of the Domains RED, GREEN, BLUE my XDS.b/XCA actor system has been assigned?

3) Our system OTHER_ICW_PXS has both an XCA gateway and XDS.b actors (registry, repository).
Now, we have been assinged 1.3.6.1.4.1.21367.2011.2.6.6, which does not correspond to the three OIDs above.
How to interpret this?

Marek and all

Eric's posting to this group on 31-March contained some information about the 3 different patient ID assigning authority information (red, green blue) that will affect some tests in the XDS.b/XDS-I.b and XCA profiles.

Only XDS Registries and XCA Gateway systems are assigned to one of these three domains.  You can find this information in gazelle under Connectathon/Patient Generation & Sharing.  Under that menu, on the 'Assigning Authority' tab, select the 'View' icon in each row.  This is where Eric has documented the which Patient ID Assigning Authority domain each Gateway and Registry is assigned to.

Also, I have attached again a powerpoint that gives an explanation of the 3-domain testing in Pisa.

I will let Eric's team answer question #3 since they are responsible for the OID assignments.

See you all soon!

Lynn

Lynn,

the OID published at the location you described (Connectathon -> Patient Generation & Sharing -> Assigning Authority) applies to assigning authorities for patient identifiers. So these are these OIDs appear in the transactions as the part of the global patient identifier.

I was asking about the homeCommunityId. My assumption is that each of the colors also represents an XDS(.b) affinity domain, with an assigned homeCommunityId (which is not necessary identical with the patient identifier assigning authority). In my understanding, every XDS(.b) related actor needs the homeCommunityId to put them into ATNA audits and each XC* gateway needs them to put them into the transactions.

So my "model" is:
RED:
  [1..1] assigning authority: 1.3.6.1.4.1.21367.13.20.1000
  [1..1] home community id:  urn:oid:1.3.6.1.4.1.21367.2011.2.6.8???
  [0..*] vendors/actors tied to the domain: ???
GREEN:
  [1..1] assigning authority: 1.3.6.1.4.1.21367.13.20.2000
  [1..1] home community id: urn:oid:1.3.6.1.4.1.21367.2011.2.6.9???
  [0..*] vendors/actors tied to the domain: ???
BLUE:
  [1..1] assigning authority: 1.3.6.1.4.1.21367.13.20.3000
  [1..1] home community id: urn:oid:1.3.6.1.4.1.21367.2011.2.6.5,???
  [0..*] vendors/actors tied to the domain: ???

Can anyone either correct this "model" or clarify the question marks?

Kind Regards
Marek

The Patient ID assigning authorities you identify below are correct (...1000 for Red  ...2000 for Green   ....3000 for Blue).

Each test system that supports an XCA Gateway actor is given its own homeCommunityID.   IE, there is not one Red homeCommunityID, one Blue homeCommunityID, one Green homeCommunity ID.

In XDS.b and XCA, only Registries and Gateways are assigned to one of the Red, Green or Blue domains.  Other systems (Doc Sources, Doc Consumers...) are **not** assigned.   They may test with any partner.

However, systems like Sources and Consumers must be aware of which domain a certain Registry is in.  So, for example, if a Doc Source is doing a test to submit a Document to a Repository...
  - it must know which Registry that Repository is associated with
-it must  know what 'domain' that Registry has been assigned to (eg it is a "Blue" Registry)
  - it must send register a patient with the proper patient ID assigning authority (....3000 for blue) with that Registry before submitting the document.  The Gazelle Patient Generation tool can be used to send an HL7 feed (v2 or v3) with the proper assigning authority (red, green, or blue) to the Registry.  That tool is pre-populated with patients for XDS testing....one patient with the last name matching the company name of each Doc Source.

Does that help?

>there is not one Red homeCommunityID, one Blue homeCommunityID, one Green homeCommunity ID.

Lynn,
thanks a lot, that information helps indeed :-)

>In XDS.b and XCA, only Registries and Gateways are assigned to one of the Red, Green or Blue domains.
So for our XDS.b Registry and XCA Gateway we still need the assignement to one of the Domains Red, Green, Blue.

Eric, is this assignement already known?

Kind Regards
Marek, ICW
