Hi all,

I’ve got a question about XDS_Doc_Source_Stores_Document  test.

In test description, section evaluation, we can read:

If the documents produced by the Document Source system do not conform to one of the IHE content profiles, the Connectathon monitor will verify that the documents produced by this system, 'comply with a published healthcare standard, including wrapping support of such generic electronic formats.' Unstructured data, such as text files, proprietary document formats (eg RTF), or images, shall be encapsulated within a standard document format'' (Ref ITI TF-1: 10.4.2).

It’s a little bit confused for us : text file must be encapsulated within a standard document format, but in codes list (http://ihexds.nist.gov:9080/xdsref/codes/codes.xml), the mimeType “text/plain” is available.

Can anyone help us to understand if it’s mandatory to submit document with standard format? In ITI TF-1: 10.4.2,  it concerns  HL7 CDA release 1 ?

And is it possible to submit unstructured data without  encapsulation ?

Thanks.

Regards,
