IHE in Australia and Asia Pacific

Colleagues,

I am writing to let you know about IHE initiatives in Australia.

We have run interoperability demonstrations for the last 3 years and are
planning a connectathon and showcase in 2008

Attached is some background information.

We see potential synergies given regional vendor coverage covering
Aust/NZ/Singapore/Malaysia and would be interested in exploring a
collaborative effort via regional group (with national subgroups).
Certainly this could give us critical mass for running events such as
the connectathon.

The type of connectathon we wish to run is the general type typical of
the North American and European models (focusing on international
profiles). Our first focus is on PDI as we are having big problems with
poor quality CDs being produced instead of radiology film.

Please get in contact to discuss. We could organise a TC if there is
interest.
