So I was doing some research and ran into this page:
http://wiki.developers.facebook.com/index.php/Open_Source_Applications_Terms_Of_Service_Problem

I'm not quite sure if the issue has really been resolved so just in
case, remove stuff like our facebook api key and other server related
stuff from the code before committing to the repository.

I see. This might be a hard issue to resolve because if we want to
use SVN to control our code development, which in turn we need that
API key in order for us to run and test it. I read some of the
solutions to this problem, but I want to know what the team thinks is
best? Also, are there any security risk to our application if
someone were to obtain our secret key and API key? (can they break
it)
