IH Campobasso launches first Cooking/English class
IH Campobasso launched its first Cooking/English class at the end of 2018.
The Italian participants learnt English while learning to make a traditional British Christmas dinner of turkey and Yorkshire
puddings.
Due to its success, more Cooking/English lessons will be planned for summer 2019!
IH Career College to open in Whistler
The IH Career College is expanding to Whistler. Starting in May 2019, it will offer the Customer Service Program with fantastic
work experience opportunities for students.

The project ‘ePublisher’, coordinated by
IH Vilnius-Soros, was shortlisted for the Network for Innovations in Culture and Creativity in Europe N.I.C.E. Award 2019 – congratulations!
ePublisher promotes innovative ways of publishing poems by professional and amateur poets, helping them to reach new
audiences and improving access to poetry.
IH Barcelona's Flexperience baking masterclass
IH Barcelona had their first speaker join their Flexperience courses recently: professional baker Mahala Le May, who
gave a workshop on how bread is made with lots of useful vocabulary and phrases (and, of course, some yummy bread!)
Flexperience is a new type of course with flexible class times, no textbooks and exams and a focus on getting students
speaking and learning through real life experiences.
IH Manchester moves to new location
IH Manchester has moved to an exciting
new location in the city centre!
The new larger premises is closer to vital transport links, and its bright, modern surroundings will
be the ideal place for work and study
Mark Rendell joins IH London as CEO
Mark Rendell has been appointed as CEO of IH London, marking the start of an exciting future for the school.
Mark has a strong background in the ELT profession with worldwide experience over a number of years, most recently as
Principle of St Giles International London Central for seven years.
Net Languages launches new English course
Net Languages has launched a new General
English online course with speech recognition exercises using the latest technology from Carnegie Speech.
The course is available now on all current computers and as an app for iOS and Android tablets.
AMT Conference takes place and MoU signed between IHWO and LanguageCert
The 2019 IH Academic Management and
Trainers Conference took place from January 10th – 12th in London with more than 120 participants.
There were 3 full days of workshops and sessions on topics including safe spaces, helping new teachers,
how to have difficult conversations, and many more.
During the conference, a new global partnership was signed between IHWO and LanguageCert. This Memorandum
of Understanding will allow IH schools to offer a range of innovative, flexible, and highly regarded exams.
