Hi teachers,
As most of you know from TD/the group/this evening’s quick catch-up, we will be conducting PDI interviews with all English and LOTE teachers (group classes).
PDI stands for Professional Development Interview and it’s essentially a chance for you to meet with either Mike, me or the two of us and reflect on what you have done professionally and set goals for the remainder of the academic year. Having done observations etc. and of course with Mike around and the upcoming IH inspection, now is the perfect time. I can personally attest to the benefit of these. J
What do you need to do?
Fill in the attached form and email it to Mike (cc’d on this email) before you’re scheduled to meet him (same day is fine, as long as he has before he sees you).
Be sure to read the comments in some parts, too. These explain things further and may answer some questions you have.
When?
We will try and do the bulk of them on Friday, when Mike is available. So I will be putting together a schedule but essentially we won’t have CPE, we will run these in place of it. You will be with him/me/us both for about 20-30 minutes.
Schedule to follow but in the meantime – let me know if you have any preferences for time/your availability on Friday and I will do my best (but no promises J).
Please don’t hesitate one bit to speak to either myself or Mike if you have any questions or concerns about this.

Hi wonderful teachers (English and LOTE),
As discussed and promised, please see below for the schedule for your PDIs (Professional Development Interviews) with Mike. I’ve done my best to put you at convenient times but if you cannot make it at the time assigned, please arrange it directly with Mike or switch between you and inform Mike as well as yours truly accordingly.
Remember to email it to Mike before your meeting with him and also if you want to see the classes you have taught, we can very easily print you a report off the system, so don’t hesitate to ask us. J
LOTE teachers – I have amended your form slightly since your classes have different names etc. so please use the one with ‘LOTE’ in the file name and don’t worry too much your English when filling it in….your English is fine and more than enough to communicate and express yourselves. J
English teachers – the form is the same for you, I just saved it as English.
