hg 19 unavailable

Hi 

I am using desktop version 2.16.2 and for the past 24 hours have been unable to load human genome hg19 - getting the following error:

Unexpected error: com.google.gson.stream.MalformedJsonException: Use     JsonReader.setLenient(true) to accept malformed JSON at line 2 column 12     path $.
See igv.log for more details  

The genome server URL on my advanced settings is: https://igv.org/genomes/genomes.tsv

I'm working on a solution now.

This should be fixed, but you will need to re-download your genome from the server.  To do this use "Genomes > Select Genome from Host".

Let us know if this resolves the problem.

Just to verify,   you re-selected hg19 from the Genomes menu as shown in these screenshots?

I can confirm that was the steps taken but still received the same error

If you are unable to update to the latest IGV I will need more information.   You can email this information go igv...@broadinstitute.org if you don't wish to post it here.

First, confirm that your "Genome Server URL",  which you will find in "View > Preferences > Advanced",  is https://igv.org/genomes/genomes.tsv.

Second, could you take a screenshot of the contents of the directory "<user home>/igv/genomes"?  Preferably the screenshot will include the sizes of the files in that directory.

Finally, could you attach a copy of the file "hg19.json" in that directory?  Also,  if there is a file "hg19.genome" in the directory delete it.   In fact this might solve the issue.
