Dear IGV group,

I'm trying to visualize peaks of ChIP-seq, and for that, I have gotten a bigwig file and put it into IGV. But, it returns the message below.  On top of the one seen in the screenshot, I have tried other bigiwig files, which worked just fine.
How do I identify what kind of problem this bigwig has? How could I fix this issue?

Thank you for reading my inquiry. I hope to hear from you soon!

Best,
Yusuke

Hi Yusuke,
I see that the file is in your "Downloads" directory. Are you by any chance loading the track via a session file? Or are you directly loading from the File > Load from File menu? If from a session, can you try loading the file directly from the File menu and see if that helps. In recent versions of MacOS, the Downloads folder is a special folder w.r.t. access control for applications, which can affect loading from sessions.

If you still cannot load the file, can you share it with us so we can try to see whats going on. You can send us information about the file privately by emailing us at igv-team at broadinstitute.org (ignore the autoreply).
