I did a little web searching, and probably found the same links you did. It looks like this error might be caused from either a hardware / Java compatibility with you Mac, or a faulty graphics card. Are you using an external monitor, in particular with DisplayLink and/or a docking station?

I'm no expert on this, it seems to be a general problem with Java and DisplayLink. Sorry I can't be more helpful, you might try some Mac forums.I also use an external display, but I use the mac mini display port, you might try connecting the display directly to the mac (not through the docking station).
