Searching for features in GFF files

I am trying to load a custom GFF3 file into IGV and see if I could search for Genes or transcripts from the GFF3 file. Is this possible in IGV? Is there a specific format instead of GFF3 I could use to get this functionality?

You can search for attributes in column 9 of the gff, also the "name" column of a bed file.
