Error loading GFF file

Hello!

I'm facing a problem with all the versions of IGV. A few months ago I used a sorted/indexed GTF file for the genome assembly Amex-DD-6.0 (Ambystoma mexicanum) and it worked perfectly fine. The thing is, now, when I try to load it to a new session I can't search for any locus in the search box or if I try to create a new sorted GTF file and load it to IGV an error message pops up saying

Error loading C:\"PATH"\ANOTACIÓN_FULL_sorted.gtf: Failed to create index from stream., for input source: C:\"PATH"\ANOTACIÓN_FULL_sorted.gtf"

Even if I index the sorted GTF file first.

What do you think is happening?

Its hard to say.   First what version of IGV are you using?  

The error is thrown when attempting to index the file.  I suggest you delete your index, and when IGV asks you if you would like to index the file answer "No" or cancel.   Indexed files are not searchable, so if you intend to search on terms in the file you cannot index it in any event.
