Is there a way to type in a complete file path rather than navigating folder by folder in the load file option?

I want to open the file /seq/picard_aggregation/C624/NA12878/current/NA12878.bam

I have read permission to view it, but I DON'T have permission to view the folder /seq/picard_aggregation/.  So I can't navigate there folder by folder, but I could get there by entering the entire path at once.  The problem is the file chooser dialog doesn't seem to give me that option.

I'm running Java 7 on OS X 10.8.5.  I'm using IGV 2.3.20 (22)

Thanks,
Louis

Hi Louis,

You can use the "Load from URL function" and specify the path as a file url, e.g. file:/seq/picard_aggregation/
C624/NA12878/current/NA12878.bam.

Thanks,
-Jacob
