Application Blocked by Security Settings

I have been using IGV daily for a long time.  When I tried to load it today, it indicates "Your security settings have blocked an application signed with an expired or not-yet-valid certificate from running."

I had not changed anything in the virus protection recently.  In order to try to get this to load, I shut off my virus protection and tried again.  Again the same message about being blocked, and the IGV software never loads.

Hi,

Could you tell us what version of IGV you are using, or are you trying to launch from our website?   Also, what version of Java are you using?

Hi,  as a workaround while we are renewing our certificate you can add our site to the "exception" list as described below.  This will allow you to run.   

To add our site follow the instructions below,  and add http://data.broadinstitute.org   and https://data.broadinstitute.org to the exception list

I have the same problem and the workaround solution suggested by Jim Ronbinson did not help.

Apologies, there is a problem with the "certificate chain" from one of our vendors,  and our IT department is working to get it resolved.    I hope to have this fixed sometime this morning.

You could download the "binary" distribution and start it from the command line, it does not require a certificate.
