Uploading genome/VCF file

I'm trying to upload my VCF file (from Nebula Genomics), and the error message I keep getting is " Genome did not load - invalid data and/or index file(s)". I tried uploading the index data as well and I am still getting an error. Can anyone assist?

Sound like you tried to load your VCF file using the Genome menu. The Genome menu is only used to load the reference genome sequence. To load any data track, including VCF files, use the File menu (if using the IGV desktop application) or the Tracks menu (if using the IGV-Web app)

Wasn't sure if my last comment went through (apologies if it did). I tried uploading via the track menu, but I am getting an error of "Cannot read properties of undefined ('startsWith'): [Object File]

Hi,

We probably won't be able to help without the VCF file,  are you able to zip up and share it?

Also, you didn't state what IGV program you are using, desktop or web, or from what URL.   I am guessing from the error messages its either igv.js embedded somewhere, or the igv-webapp we host at igv.org, but please confirm the full URL you use to access IGV.
