Dear Mr. Bryan,

I am writing on behalf of AIESEC Initiative Group, Sunway University to invite you to speak at our first AIESEC Night. Please extend our invitation to the AAM Community as well. The details are as follows:

Date: 10/9/12 (Monday)

Time: 7 - 8 pm

Venue: Sunway University

Proposed Agenda (Tentative)

6.00pm - Arrival of guests

6.10pm - Welcome & Intro

6.15pm - Square Dance + Ice Breaking Session

6.50pm - Video Session

6.55pm - Mini Presentation

7.05pm - Sharing Session by Speakers (3pax ~ 10mins each)

7.40pm - Q&A Session 

7.50pm - Closing & Announcement 

As you may know, we are an initiative group at Sunway and we are working very hard to establish AIESEC in our campus. The purpose of AIESEC Night is to allow students who sign up on Recruitment Day to get a feel and sense of what AIESEC really is about and for them to be able to relate how AIESEC may help them to grow personally and professionally in the future. 

We are aware of your commitments but we remain very optimistic that you will grace an event such as this. We believe that your presence and experiences will be very valuable to our students and we hope you could grant our invitation.

Fiona, in order to post to a googlegroup, your email address must be dded into it. The admin needs to allow "non-members' to post but set visibility to only members. 

Also, may I know when did Bryan 'graduate' from AIESEC and the reasoning behind calling an alumni?

Dear Kavidha,

Thank you for the extra info :) I have mentioned this to Rahul so he can make the necessary changes as Geraldine experienced the same problem.

Bryan graduated from AIESEC in 03/04 (MC ICX)
I believe different LCs have different styles of conducting their events, in particular AIESEC Night.
As per our meeting with Geraldine on 16th Aug at Taylor's University, she suggested that we have alums to speak on their experience with AIESEC and how that has helped them into who they have become today (on both personal and professional development) This way, the students not only get to watch videos of students who went abroad, but also hear from real people in front of them. At the same time, it also provides a chance for alums to contribute back to AIESEC community :)

So, in conclusion, we have decided to come up with the proposed agenda which includes this 'sharing session'
I hope that sort of clarifies the reasoning of 'calling alums'
