Dear Rahul,

Thank you for your e-mail and we understand your concern for our IG. Definitely, time wise is very limited and rushed.
We believe it will be better for our IG and members to start off well-prepared instead of rushing things just for hope of immediate results.
Aside from that, we want to focus our resources into preparing for what's important and urgent; our priority which is MNC.
However, we do agree with your view that the end of December is a peak season and it would be such a waste to miss this opportunity.
Therefore, while we have agreed to stick with our planned agenda instead of a recruitment next week, we are considering to do internal raising
within our members.

During LTtT, Jimmy has approached me regarding recruitment and Anita was also present while he shared his suggestion.
We all agreed that instead of campus recruitment, we will try our best to raise internally
This will be done after the training with Wei Jun & Joshua, which we have already scheduled on 22nd Oct

Thank you and have a nice day!

Dear Team,

I have an urgent announcement to make.
As you all know Victoria University would be having their break from November on wards, so the timeline is very tight for recruiting EPs.
Regarding this I had a conversation with MCVP OGX Wei Jun and I'm attaching the conversation log along with the mail for transparency purposes.

According to what we think, we should do an immediate OGX Recruitment Drive, and for that I'll try to garner help from LC TU if I can.
Even Wei Jun will be able to help out a bit, but what we need to understand is that time is very critical.

Please do read through the conversation I had with Wei Jun to know more.

Thanking you,

Sincerely,

Hey guys,

I think it is not very effective to discuss this via email. Why not we set up a meeting for this?
Rahul, Fiona and I can be in the meeting, so that we can sort things out. Will this coming Thursday (18/10/2012) be good? Say 3 or 4pm?

thanks a lot.

Dear Wei Jun,

I would be free anytime on Thursday except 2 PM - 4 PM during which I'm having an assignment demonstration.

So would it be okay for you to have the meeting after that or may be in the morning or so.

Thanking you,

Dear Wei Jun,

I've just met with Carmen and she is aware that we will be doing internal raising for GCDP. Rahul has also replied noting the content of the mail. So, the only thing that's left is actually starting the process of raising. Carmen has informed me that this week would be a busy week for TU and it would be more advisable if I liaise directly with you on Monday for the necessary arrangements. Is this okay on your side?

Thank you!

Best regards,
Fiona Gan

Hey Fiona,

Allright. Will you be able to come over to MC office on next Monday (22/10/2012) morning or evening? Cuz at Monday afternoon we will be having a MC Meeting.
Before we go ahead with the session, I just want to ask a few questions:

1. Internal Raising means that you will be raising your current TMP/TLPs to go for GCDP/GIP right?
2. How many TMPs and TLPs you are having now?
3. What is your target for this internal raising?
4. When will this people realized?
5. Maybe you can tell me the action steps that you have for internal raising here 1st and I see what I can help to make it better?

thanks a lot.

See you soon.

Hi Wei Jun!

Monday morning I have revision classes for final exam so I can't skip it. I  was thinking we could discuss after 8pm since you and Joshua will be in Sunway from 6-8pm, is that possible?

For the questions, please refer to my answer below :) Thank You!

Before we go ahead with the session, I just want to ask a few questions:

1. Internal Raising means that you will be raising your current TMP/TLPs to go for GCDP/GIP right?
Yes, that's correct. Also, Jimmy has mentioned that these current TMP who get raised do not need to go through EP review board.

2. How many TMPs and TLPs you are having now?
We have 60 TMP who are officially with Sunway and 13 with National Initiative who will join Sunway after their project ends in January.

3. What is your target for this internal raising?
We have not set an official target yet as this is still news to us since last week. However, we will try out best to align with MC goals and based on the email you sent last night, that would be around 25 GCDP right?

4. When will this people realized?
The peak realization period would be between mid Dec till March. Some students have a break beginning mid Nov but majority will be free only after mid Dec as they have finals.

5. Maybe you can tell me the action steps that you have for internal raising here 1st and I see what I can help to make it better?
Hmm, I don't know how it is usually done or if there are any dos and donts. But this is what I have in mind after speaking to Jimmy and Carmen.

-promote GCDP among members during each departmental meeting
-fix a day for all interested members to fill up application form, collect 400 and raise on the spot
-have trainings with help of MC regarding how to complete their CV, self match and the aim is for these members to get matched effectively and as quickly as possible :)
-follow the standard procedure of sending email to Wei Jun to change member status from new to available and everything else from there onwards
-have OPS before EPs leave

PS: based on my understanding, the only key difference between normal raising and internal raising is the absence of EPRB
