I have released a new skin of my own which utilises the Flickr API to
show photos of your choice.

Hi, I really like this new "Feeling Lucky" skin.

Two issues, though:

1. Sometimes a background never loads - is it possible to give up and
attempt to load another image in this condition?

2. I would like to have a different tiling pattern, so that I can see
the photos better. Seems like there might be several patterns that
would be useful, depending on the aspect ratio of the photo in
question. For example, I would like panoramas to be resized so that
the entire vertical span fits above all the gadgets. Can this be
exposed as a configuration item?

Thanks for the excellent work.

Sometimes the photos are big. In fact, they can be massive. I've seen
15mb images being loaded (sometimes quite slowly) from Flickr. If you
can't wait or want a new one, just re-select the skin and a new one
will load :)

Yes, it certainly can but the problem is you'd constantly be changing
it. I'm happy to experiment with this tho. It all revolves around the
css property background-position. Perhaps I could add a button to
cycle through the different possible values this property can take.
I'd be interested to listen to others' suggestions around this!

My pleasure. Thanks for supporting my work!

For this property, in addition to "top center", "bottom right", etc.,
you can mix percentages and #pixels for both height and width. I
guess there might be some "standard" percentages/#pixels
configurations, but ideally (IMHO) the full range of possibilities
would be exposed.
