Dear Friends,

Greetings for the day! Hope all is well at your end.

I have two requests to the group-

1. If anyone has downloaded the IGNOU PHD shortlisted candidates list (which was published on their website in October / November 2012 & after which we came to know each other!); request you to please forward it to me.

2. As expected, last week I received an SMS from a mobile stating itself from IGNOU with a one liner - "If you are interested for PHD then call me now". I called the number and the person on other end was hesitant & was trying to speak in a made up voice. He says that he is in the Administration Department of IGNOU and ............etc etc.

As I didnt want to entertain any unethical practices, I requested him to send a mail which obviously didnt come for past ten days. 

Request you all to be careful of such messages / calls.

Me too have received the same SMS from unknown number...........I called up at IGNOU research team and they told that some fake calls are being done by people................SO do not take such sms serious at all..................

Even in the IGNOU website it is stated that some fake calls and SMS are being done by people for PHD from IGNOU which need to be ignore...................

me too received the SMS as well as telephone call to deposite Rs. 2200 in HDFCas  tragery challan... when i said i have alredy enclosed the DD... the voice died down and i asked him to send the email.... no email ...

obviously someone from IGNOU who has an access to our records is trying to make some fast money...
