It's official - Ignite Portland 2 Feb 5 2008 @ Bagdad Theater

Igniters,

We've just confirmed the date & time of the 2nd Ignite Portland. It
will be at the Bagdad Theater on February 2, 2008. We're ready to
announce this to the world so feel free to blog about it, tweet, and
tell your friends and neighbors.

Weiden + Kennedy was an awesome location but we maxed out the
attendance capacity and we had to find a new spot to accommodate
growth. I think this one will be even better than the first!

Thank you, Todd, and everyone else involved in getting Ignite Portland
2 off the ground!

Who's going to build the Upcoming.org entry so we can start getting a
sense of attendance? I'll send out an email to Ignite Portland 1
attendees encouraging them to indicate interest via Upcoming, once
that's up.

Yay!

Hey...give me an idea of the date range for the next event so I can start
really working Tim DuRoche at Gerding Theater hard....and see if we can get
a great deal on the space and lots of freedom on the food. Will find out the
answers to the other questions as well. I will likely see him at
neighborhood events over the holidays. I'm in town until at least the first
week in Jan if not longer.

We're probably doing the next one in mid April, and we have a venue
already for that as we were approached (more details forthcoming). So,
let's start thinking about...July. I am hoping to time this with OSCON
in town - July 21, 22, or 23 evening, depending on the OSCON schedule.
Good crossover attendees and perhaps some guest presenters from out of
town.

Howdy Kids:

I will be coordinating volunteers for event night of Ignite Portland II,
predominantly for Meet & Greet, but will be looking for folks for
schlepping, signage posting, last-minute oops duty, and after-event
clean-up.

Please forward people to me who have expressed an interest in volunteering.
