Namaskar,

Last time we had Surbhi Mundra bagging a prize in the essay writing competition. This year we have Chaitali Joshi and Rachit Thukral winning the first prize in the Essay writing competition organized by Vishwa Adhyayan Kendra on the occasion of Universal Brotherhood day. Congrats to both of them for this excellent achievement. :) Let's hope this tradition continues in GRA & Samvad.

I am also attaching a copy of the article.  Needless to say, the content is too good, addressing almost all the issues pertaining to the given topic strictly adhering to the word limit.

Essay Competition

Since the last decade, we have been witnessing sudden and surprising changes in world-wide economic scenario – the death of Communism, the banking financial crisis in the western capitalist world and now the European crisis. The latter trouble seems to suggest that the Capitalist model of economy is also gasping its last death-pangs.
To add to the woes of the capitalist model, which requires the support of rabid consumerism for its prosperity, and which in turn depletes natural resources and dumps massive
unavoidable garbage and pollutants in its wake, we are witnessing
unprecedented climatic changes and environmental disasters in this world.
All this suggests that we have to urgently seek a new economic model, which will give happiness, peace and prosperity not only to people but also other creatures on this planet earth – in line with our ancient Indian belief of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ – the whole world is but one family.
In this direction, if any of you budding Keynes’s or Marx’s, have got a cure for today’s economic woes or an idea for a completely new economic model, we are waiting to hear you, so that we can showcase your ideas to the world – who knows just like we say “Keynes’s Economic theory”, the next theory may be named after you.
So please put your mind on paper and write to us on:
“Sustainable Economic Model For Global Prosperity“
