Into the week of colors, expressing the beauty of nature and diversity of it. Before you retire for a holiday do have a read of this week's Newsletter :

  • Ever wondered how the wonderful Rock Memorial in Kanyakumari was built. Here is an interesting insight of the movement, the efforts put by millions of people and the man who stood as the backbone . Click Here
  • This is a letter written by a lady to her mother sharing her excitement of meeting Swami Vivekananda. A unique piece that describes Swami by a common westerner, and that too before the Parliament of Religions. Read More.
  • Swami Vivekananda on Meditation :

"Think of a space in your heart, and in the midst of that space think that a flame is burning. Think of that flame as your own soul and inside the flame is another effulgent light, and that is the Soul of your soul, God. Meditate upon that in heart. · The greatest help to spiritual life is meditation. In meditation we divest ourselves of all material conditions and feel our divine nature. We do not depend upon any external help in meditation. · The greatest thing is meditation. It is the nearest approach to spiritual life- the mind meditating. It is the one moment in our daily life that we are not at all material-the soul thinking of itself, free from all matter- this marvelous touch of the soul! · There is the infinite joy, unchanging."
  • Here is a wonderful video on Inequality by P.Sainath in World Economic Forum. A Must watch expressing the problems of our times and price of our growth story. He speaks on various range of issues interconnected with each other from Farm Crisis to Occupy Wall Street and Media's role in presenting the true picture. Watch It
  • “Comfort” is no test of truth; on the contrary, truth is often far from being “comfortable.”
