Dear Colleagues,
The new computing facility at Bayview is nearly ready, after 3 years
of planning and construction. The link below points to a form that
any of you can fill out to request an allocation and user accounts.
You just fill it out once, and after that is approved, everyone in
your lab can individually request accounts.
The initial plan (for at least 6 months to a year) is that the
School will cover all computing costs, until they figure out how to
charge us. We want to encourage people to sign up now so we can
gauge demand. We expect the costs, once they are in place, to be
much cheaper than any alternative, in part because we built this
facility using Maryland state funds.
There is also ample space to expand the facility with new computers
- Jaime Combariza is the person to ask about that.

The form at
the MARCC web site has now an entry for the School of
Medicine. Please ask PIs to submit an application.
Thanks
