Hello All,

I did this review as an informal task some days ago, but I think it can be a starting point for comments...I should first congratulate Ginger`s efforts when she develop this website, it`s very good!!

Best,

Raquel

1-) HOMEPAGE:

- update with new info about the webcasting and chat.

2-) IGF REMOTE PARTICIPATION DRAFT PROPOSAL:

- the last item "MAJOR CONCERNS" can be replaced as a self item or in the homepage, but we need to answer them first (for now, i would take them off and develop it inside the our group).

3-) CHAT AND OTHER INPUT OPTIONS:

4-) REMOTE HUBS

5-) FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

- Bring the Remote Hubs needs from the public doc., such as a hub needs a place (conference room), conference equipment (a computer and a video), a person monitoring the development and leading the discussions. It can also have a person responsible for summarizing the discussions and sending us a report (if agreed). The estimated costs are related to the place and equipments (besides ordinary expenses - energy, etc).

6-) WEBCAST

- Mentions something like "only the Secretariat and the Host team are responsible for webcasting. Please check the website ??"
- We could also mention that we are trying to keep in touch with the responsible team to provide good quality for different connections (dial and levels of broadband). We also concern for having many options for remote participants, in private and open sorce tools.

7-) SECOND LIFE

- Should we mention the Diplo`s partnership and insert their logo here? A good start for calling other partners...
- We should tell about other tools: facebook (our link there is ??), youtube (you can access by ??), etc

8-) WHO ARE WE?

- Rafik, can you please update me :-)
- Max, Seiiti and new members, we need your info to update this page.
- Where are Avri, Jeremy and Vladimir? are they members or observers?
- Can we have all in this page: members, partners, observers, etc.?

9-) IGF LINKS

-  i suggest changing the name, something as "related links" etc
- "IGF Host Country Site" should be also changed to "IGF-India Host Country SIte"
- so you can include "IGF-Brazil Host Country Site" (which is: http://www.igfbrazil2007.br/) especially because there you can find all video and audio records...
- include the aids conference site too
- include the DC website (a tribute to Jeremy work)
- include Public Voice Coalition website

10-) GENERAL OVERVIEW:

- I miss a link for us logging in our e-mails (just a small icon in some corner to make it easier).
- just a personal remark: I don`t like the dark color in the website...I suggest the mid-blue along all page (clear view).

Hello guys
I have some comments about the site as well.
Opening text: The current opening text should be placed in the section "who are we" and we should create a new opening text targeting people who want to create or participate on the hubs. Seiiti suggested the creation of two docs, a "how to hub", to target people who are interested in creating hubs in their institutions, and a "let´s hub", to the people who want to participate in the hubs. I thought it was a great idea and he´s currently developing a text to present these two docs. This text could be placed in the opening page of the site.

IGF RP draft proposal: I believe we should take off the major concerns and tools to be investigated. The purpose 3 should be maintained (To offer remote participation, observation and comments in the IGF process), and the second one should be about the support for the creation of hubs.

The section "chat and other input options" may direct to the chat that will be offered by the organization, once it´s ready. For now, maybe we could take this section off.

The section about the hubs is fine. Maybe we could complete the text with the items we recently added to the document we approved on the last meeting (sent to the list). The report about the aids hubs is more for internal use now, so I believe we should take it off or put it in a "resources" or "documents" section, if we are going to have one. The statement to the IG community should also be inside this resources section.

The faq section should be there, but not repeating the hubs info. As soon as people have doubts, we can add the answers that we give on the faq.

Webcast section: link to the webcast offered by the organization.

Second Life: news about the SL hub. What do you think?

I agree with Raquel about the color. The dark gray seems too sober.

Rafik, Ginger, please tell us in what poits you will need help to make changes to the site. Can we also agree on a deadline? It´s important that we have it ready asap.

Best!

Hi all!

Hope you had a relaxing weekend - what Marilia wrote down (creation of 2 docs) is not yet a suggestion (not yet haha). I will wait for your comments until today at 20:00 GMT and see if that idea is indeed adequate to the perceived notion of our members about what should be communicated and to who (and how).

So far I got interesting and complementary views on the 3 questions in 6 minutes email. If more of you can also contribute by emailing me directly, the proposal will be better fine tuned to what the group thinks.

Waiting for your contribution!

Best
