Dear members of the IGF Secretariat,

My name is Marília Maciel, and I write you on the behalf of the IGF Remote Participation Project, a group of people and organizations that share a concern with the availability of remote participation channels on the IGF 2008.

The document attached refers to the proposal of creating local IGF hubs, which, in brief, are local meetings that would exhibit the webcast of the IGF sessions, followed by a discussion of issues related to the IGF that are locally relevant. We have made contact with organizations around the world and there´s already a considerable interest to create local hubs in United States, India and Brazil.

We would like to request that this project is added as a contribution and that it is taken into consideration for the September Open Consultations.
