Dear Amali,
I hope this email finds you well.
I am reaching out to you as we are currently finalizing the selection of IGF session submissions.
As you may know, this year, we are having a more focused agenda, with less sessions on the programme. We had a total of 355 IGF sessions last year, which we will be narrowing down to around 250 sessions this year. We will be starting session an hour later (~09.30 instead of 08:30 last year) and finishing an hour earlier (~18:00 instead of 19:00 last year) to attract more participants to each IGF session. This is our response to the stock taking and feedback received from the community at the IGF 2023.
In addition, the IGF MAG is limiting the number of slots to sessions that are different than workshops (e.g., Networking Sessions, Launches & Awards, DC-Sessions).
As such, the Secretariat was encouraging DCs to partner/collaborate on joint DC-session submissions.
Could I kindly ask you to go through the list of received DC session proposals and let us know with which DCs you would be ready to collaborate on a joint session? (let us know about 2-3 different DC proposals, as we are reaching out to all right now, asking to merge and collaborate with other DCs).
IGF 2024 Dynamic Coalition Session Proposals Received | Internet Governance Forum (intgovforum.org)
We were thinking that it might be interesting for you to collaborate this year with the DC on Digital Health, which submitted the proposal #18 on Digital Health & Selfcare - Can we replace Doctors in PHCs.
Please let me know in case you have any questions or comments.
Thank you very much in advance for your cooperation and kind regards,
Celine
