Academia Sinica (AS), the preeminent research institution in Taiwan, is pleased to announce that its Taiwan International Graduate Program (TIGP) is now accepting applications for the 2013 academic years

 

AS-TIGP is now accepting applications for admission to the 2013 fall semester in Interdisciplinary Ph.D. programs and 2-month International Internship Program in following ten programs:

1.            Chemical Biology and Molecular Biophysics

2.            Molecular Science and Technology

3.            Molecular and Biological Agricultural Sciences

4.            Bioinformatics

5.            Molecular and Cell Biology

6.            Nano Science and Technology

7.            Molecular Medicine

8.            Earth System Science

9.            Biodiversity

10.          Interdisciplinary Neuroscience

 

The highlights:

Ph.D program

1.Scholarship of approx. 1050 USD per month if you secure admission. 

2. Opportunity to wok in an state-of the art research environment and faculty which has seen even Nobel laureates 

Admission requirements:

1. Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s Degree

2. English Proficiency Test Score

3. GRE Score (optional)

4. Transcripts

5. Three Letters of Recommendation

6. Statement of Purpose

 

 Internship Program (2 months)

1.  Scholarship of approx. 1000 USD per month during this period

2. 50 % of the round trip air fare

3. Exposure to the research environment.

Eligibility

1. Undergraduate students who will be conferred a B.S. degree by August 2014

2. Students pursuing a Master's degree

3. Individuals holding a B.s. or Master's degree

 

Applications deadlines: 31 March, 2013 for AS-TIGP Ph.D. program

                                                      28, February 2013 for AS- TIGP International Internship program
