NATIONAL STUDENT SYMPOSIUM @ FERVOUR 2011


As a part of its annual IEEE festival "Fervour 2011", the IEEE Student Branch of BVCOE (BVPIEEE) is organizing the National Student Symposium(National Level Technical Paper Presentation)

 

The theme of this year's event is 


Innovations, Emerging technologies, Engineering with Excellence

The Symposium is aimed at stimulating and fostering student research and will provide a forum for exchanging new ideas and highlighting student research accomplishments.


PAPER SUBMISSION


All full paper submissions will be peer reviewed and evaluated based on originality, technical and/or research content/depth, correctness, relevance to conference, contributions, and readability. The papers will be chosen based on technical merit, interest, applicability, and how well they fit a coherent and balanced technical program. Prospective authors are kindly invited to submit full text papers including results, tables, figures and references.

The papers should be strictly in the IEEE FORMAT. Papers not adhering to the format will be liable for rejection.

IMPORTANT DATES

 

Submission deadline: 15TH MARCH, 2011

Notification of acceptance: 17TH MARCH, 2011

Final paper submission: 20TH MARCH, 2011

Presentation at NSS, BVCOE: 23rd MARCH, 2011

 

ELIGIBILITY

 

To be eligible to present at the symposium, the research work should primarily be the result of student research and should be presented by a student author. The student author should have been a full-time student at some point in 2011. Non-student co-authors are permitted. The papers should be a minimum of 5 length pages.

GENERAL RULES

· Round 1:

The papers received will be scrutinized by review committee on the basis of parameters listed below:

Ø Originality and Innovation

Ø Practical Implementation

All the finalists will be informed by email/phone within 3 days after completion of the selection process.

 

· Round 2:

Based on the content of the paper, a selected number of teams would be invited to make a presentation- PPT, which should cover the technical aspects in a detailed manner. The decision of the judges will be final and binding.
