IN-GAME PRODUCT MANAGER – Sydney
The In-Game Product Manager is in charge of creating, planning, organising and managing successful in-game events as well as the pricing strategy for our key games in Australia. As a member of the Australian business team, you report to the Country Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Play the games extensively – on a daily basis
- Work closely with the production team to build a comprehensive in-depth planning of local pricing and in-game events. Oversee its effective implementation
- Coordinate and set up the in-game communication (assets creation, push notification, ...)
- Monitor, analyse and manage the virtual economy of the games on different platforms as well as the gamer behaviour
- Constantly analyse strategies and propose new solutions to maximise retention and revenue
- Suggest optimisations to the game team developers
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing / engineering / economics
- 2-3+ years professional experience in marketing / business analysis
- Passion for video games: you find inspiration in the player experience and you're constantly coming up with engaging ideas for contests, fan-participation activities, etc
- Excellent analytical thinking skills, including both the science (modeling) and the art (be curious about the business and test innovative hypotheses)
- Ability to provide recommendations with data to support event and pricing strategy
- Desire to work hard and thrive in a fast paced environment
- Accountability: you are responsible for taking problem-solving decisions
- Curiosity: figuring out how in-game economies work and change
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High proficiency in Excel
