Dear San Francisco IGDA Members,

This is a last minute reminder that our first event of 2018 will be at Dolby Labs on Market St. at 7pm tomorrow Wednesday 28th. We will be hosting a panel of industry experts to discuss all things audio! Please visit our meet up page: https://www.meetup.com/IGDA-San-Francisco/events/247971388/

Our panelists will be:

- Clint Bajakian -
Composer and music producer established in the field of game audio since 1991. Bajakian lead the Sony PlayStation music production group from 2004-2013, producing many award winning musical scores throughout the world, including God of War and Uncharted. Prior to Sony, Bajakian founded and led the audio production company Bay Area Sound from 2000-2004. From 1991- 2000, he co-led the audio department at LucasArts Entertainment as composer and sound design supervisor, working on such titles as Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Monkey Island, and Outlaws. Since 2013, Bajakian has created the score for Uncharted: Golden Abyss and is a regular composer on Blizzard Entertainment’s World of Warcraft, whose expansion, Warlords of Draenor, won 2014 Best Soundtrack for a Video Game from Hollywood Music in Media. Currently, Bajakian runs Clint Bajakian Music, is adjunct professor in the Technology and Applied Composition program at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music serves as a trustee at The New England Conservatory.

- Andrew Boyd -
Andrew Boyd serves as Sound Design Manager at Facebook, Inc., leading the Immersive Sound Group which encompasses Facebook’s work in sound for AR, VR, and 360 media. Prior to coming to Facebook, Andrew spent 10 years as Audio Director at Electronic Arts’ Visceral Games (née EA Redwood Shores) studio. In over 23 years of professional game audio development, Andrew shipped more than 35 games across every major genre and every major platform, from Sega Genesis through PlayStation 4. With titles including Battlefield Hardline, Dead Space 2, Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, Demon Stone, and Blood Wake, his work has been nominated for sound and music awards from BAFTA, TEC, AIAS, IGDA, and GANG. When he’s not knee-deep in staffing spreadsheets or tool specifications, you can find him pretending to record his own compositions…just as soon as he gets that new plugin configured.

- Darren Korb -
Award-winning Composer and Audio Director for Supergiant Games. He has composed music, created sounds, and directed voiceover for all three of the studio's titles: Bastion, Transistor, and Pyre.

- Matt Levine -
Accomplished composer and producer of music for games, film, television, and other pictured media. Levine graduated from California Institute of the Arts in 1992, receiving a BFA in music composition. Since then, he has consistently worked as a composer, producer and engineer for a broad range of clients including Beatnik, MTV, Autodesk, Intel, Netscape, Sega, Nike, Namco, Hasbro and LeapFrog. In 2005, he joined the Music Department at Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) and worked there for over a decade. During that time, he directly contributed to 37 titles published by SCEA. He composed and remixed music for many games, including The Last of Us, Uncharted 3, and Infamous: First Light. In 2015, Levine joined the faculty of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where he continues to teach a course on composition for video games.
