Hi Everyone -

We are excited to share info about Global Game Jam 2012! Here are the basic details. There are some deadlines and requests of you if you plan to participate to please take a moment to read this email. Let us know if you have any questions!

Global Game Jam: Friday, 5PM January 27 - Sunday 5PM January 29

IGDA Philly will be hosting two locations this year: one in Center City and one in South Jersey. The Center City location will be held in the building that IndyHall is in (22nd N. 3rd Street). The South Jersey location will be held at Camden County College in Blackwood, NJ.

Both locations will be free but we will be accepting donations. We also have sponsorship opportunities available for $75 and $250 (first come, first served! - http://bit.ly/IGDAPhillyGGJ2012Sponsorship) if you'd like to pitch in! Money will be used to provide things like food/drinks/supplies/etc. Everything that is given to IGDA Philly in the form of donations or sponsorships is put right back into making our Chapter awesome.

Remember: as of last year, non-digital games are permitted! That means you can make card/board/physical games - not just video games!

1. Go to www.globalgamejam.org
2. Log into your account (or create one if you do not have one yet)
3. Go to the location you will be Jamming at

Things to Note

• Center City Location
• The Center City location is a BYOT site! Similar to our past Jams, you will need to bring all of your equipment and whatever else you will want for the weekend.
• While registration will be open until the start of the event for the CC location, we ask that you register by Tuesday, January 24 so that we can determine how much space we need to allocate for our area and set up properly.
  
• South Jersey Location
• REGISTRATION FOR SOUTH JERSEY LOCATION CLOSES AT 5PM ON THURSDAY, JANUARY 26! If you do not register with this location by this date/time, you are out of luck and will need to come on over to Center City (or some other location). The reason for this is that the Camden County College requires a list of all participants for security purposes.
  
• South Jersey will have computers! You do NOT need to bring anything to South Jersey but yourself - but you can bring all of your computer stuff with you if you want
