Subject: VOLUNTEERS AND YOU!
Greetings All,
Are you at a loss now that your interns have gone? Need some helping hands to finish that project? Fret no more!
There are plenty of smart, energetic and entrepreneurial minded volunteers who would love to help you - but they have to find you first. That is why you should fill out the attached Volunteer Request Form and send it back to me right away. And before you know it your request will be posted on Ashoka’s volunteer site, which you can check out at www.ashoka.org/volunteer.
Plenty of Ashoka Fellows and your Ashoka colleagues have done just that. Listen to what they have to say:
Global Office: “Wow, you got me two fantastic applicants! Thank you so much!”
Global Office: “We are working with a really strong group of volunteers – it makes my job so much better!”
Ashoka Africa: “We have already had a Cape Town based volunteer respond to this ad and it has been effective…”
Ashoka Fellow India: “We have gotten a number of queries one of which materialized into a fruitful five month engagement…”
Ashoka Fellow Colombia: “Thanks…we have had already three experiences on site and various possibilities of virtual support.”
Interested enough to give it a try? Volunteers responding to your ad will contact you directly with their CV and a volunteer form that will summarize their interests and skills and detail their availability. All we ask is that you respond to all inquiries promptly and kindly!
Please forward this on to the Fellows in your region, as we love to profile their work on the volunteer site and get them the assistance they need. This is a great resource for them!
Operators are standing by – actually it’s just me, but I am at the ready to advertise your important and exciting volunteer opportunity as soon as it’s received.
Until then,
Beth
