This new repository:

Contains several legacy Apps that were written against older versions of the IGB API.

I am working on updating them. Looks like a few things need to be done, such as: Adding @Component annotations to some of the classes and documentation explaining how to run the Apps once installed into IGB.

As a first step, Prutha Kulkari and I have re-written how the project gets built.

Major changes:
  • Moved the code from the main IGB repository at https://bitbucket.org/lorainelab/integrated-genome-browser and to its own separate repository at the link above
  • Re-wrote the POM to allow building all the Apps at once or just one App
  • Updated the version of IGB needed to 9.1.0 or higher
  • Added support for bitbucket pipelines to build, index, and deploy all the Apps on every push
  • Added documentation to the README.md for the project
If you would like to try out the latest Apps built from the tip of the master branch, you can do that by adding the Downloads directory https://bitbucket.org/lorainelab/experimental-apps-for-igb/downloads/ to IGB. Quickest way to do that is go to Tools and select Open App Manager. Then click the button labeled Manage Repositories. This opens the Preferences GUI with App Repositories tab on top. Everything after that is pretty self-explanatory. But if you have any questions or suggestions, please post them here.
