This no longer works in iOS15 and the latest itunes. Although it will copy your app over, on your iphone it starts installing then says "must be installed from app store." If the app is no longer there in the store, it will not install and the app will be useless (Showing with the cloud download button, which won't work).

It's been a couple of months now and I just realized its the scrobbler that have been making iTunes unresponsive silly me, I have lost some hours with apple customer service and reinstalling itunes and what not.
File sharing is working perfectly fine when using a Mac machine, but if I save a file on a windows machine, it gives me a blank file (0 kb data). iTunes shows me the correct size for the file.I am using the latest version of iTunes.
