Hello.  I'm coming form the Android development side, and I have not yet managed to get my hands on iFrotz - but I am working on it. In the mean time, i know this app is very popular and held in high regard by the community. I have some questions about 'what has worked for people' in regard to finding and downloading IF stories.

Reading here, it sounds to me like ifrotz has a built-in IFDB browser.  Does it have an ability to search for stories by name, author, etc?  Does it include a database or is this mostly just using IFDB's website in a browser?

Have zip files present a problem? I notice a lot of stories on IFDB are wrapped in a .zip - and I'm wondering if that has presented extra issues or has all that been resolved over the years?

If there are YouTube videos of this in action (what has worked well for people), or you can create one, please point me to it.

Thank you for your sharing and assistance. I wish everyone a good weekend.

In follow-up. I purchased an iPhone 5S and now have ifrotz on it. So I can directly compare notes on how you guys are solving issues with smaller screens and keyboard input and story picking.

I'd still like to hear experience on what has worked for people over the years.

Thank you.

I use iFrotz, but it it not my primary device.  I have most of my IF on my laptop, so I simply move a bunch of IF from my laptop to my idevice using the built in transfer.  As to solving, I am a big fan of a bluetooth keyboard.
