Dear Craig,
I am a mother of a 9 year old blind child, always on the lookout for new ways to entertain my little fellow. my son has been playing interactive fiction z code games on another device called an apex braille notetaker from humanware, which runs on windows ce. And he has loved playing these games for some time now, his favourite being "A bears night out". When i found frotz, i found a beautiful way to use an ipad with my little fellow. I have connected it to a logitech wireless keyboard and am using voiceover to make it accessible to him. It is working well and has given my son an opportunity to get glued onto the ipad.
There's a little hitch however, lots of times, voiceover does not speak all that is displayed. Once he gave a command sw and it read nothing and went to the next command prompt. He then typed restart and all that came on the screen was not read with navigation keys, till press spacebar. will be able to give more such inputs in the next few days while we go through this more deeply.
But nevertheless, i must congratulate for developing such a great app that the blind too can use.
Looking forward to corrections, considering there are so few apps for the visually impaired.
Best of luck!!
