Status bar

Hello,

I'm running Frotz 1.5.3 on an iPad (iOS 5.1). Overall it works great
and I'm really enjoying it.

However, certain games (Nord and Bert comes immediately to mind) don't
take the normal n,s,e,w commands to move around but require you to
type in the name of the destination (e.g. Clearing, Old Factory, Stock
Room, etc) that you want to go to. Unfortunately, these destinations
are only displayed in the status bar, and I haven't yet found a way to
make the status bar visible.

Is there a way to show the status bar?

The status bar should already be shown. It sounds like you have
somehow triggered a bug that caused the status bar to permanently go
away. I suggest you manually save your game using the 'save' command,
then quit, restart Nord & Bert (at which point your status bar should
work again), and then reload the saved game using 'restore'.

Please let me know if this doesn't work. And if it does work but you
at some point figure out what you did to make the status bar stop
displaying, please file a bug report on the Frotz issues page with
that info. Thanks!

I tried your suggestion, but it didn't make a difference. No status
bar.
