help with exchange students!

So, as one month of exchanges has already whizzed by.... another one is upon
us, this is a transition week as we wish Eduardo, Celia, and German good
luck, we welcome Ramiro from Ecuador and Paula from Spain! woohoo! There
are a couple things that we could use your help on for those of you who are
around and feel like meeting some new exchange students!
1. Travel pickups/drop offs. We don't know when Paula is coming in just
yet, but
Ramiro comes in at 6:30pm on Wednesday, airport
Celia and German leave at 2pm on Thursday (so they should be to the airport
around noon), airport.
Eduardo leaves from the train station on Friday at 6am, so he needs to be
there around 5:30 am.
2. Ramiro orientation and registrar/health services thursday and friday.
So, if folks are available to help with flight departure or arrival pick
ups, that would be great! Ramiro will also need a bit of orientation and
someone to show him about the hospital and take him to get an ID and health
clearance taken careof. This is a really easy process, something that each
exchange student must go through to get settled as a student with the
registrar and hospital.
If you have a little time to help out with any of these transitions this
week, it would be greatly appreciated! I know Ichiro has already
volunteered to help out with some of it, but if you can also help out,
please email Beth Dawson with whatever you can do... she's going to help
make sure our bases are covered and things are coordinated.
Lastly, bon voyage sundaes? spanish tunes? my place (Jefferson 1606) on
wednesday night?!?! Ramiro will have just gotten in and the others will be
leaving shortly after that. So come by wednesday night to hang out around
7:30 pm!
