Hello,
first of all, iFlicks is a GREAT piece of software, I love it, it lets
me do in one click what first used to take me 15 minutes, but I'm
having a problem right now.
Every time I start the conversion (codec: XViD container:avi) to
a .mov container, iFlicks starts converting, but after a few minutes
(seconds?) it quits, without even giving an error message. Any idea of
why this is happening? Any way to fix this?
Thanks,

Dan

Hi Dan,

I am aware of a few crashes, which I'll try to fix over the next
releases.
Does this happen with all files or only with specific ones? I suspect
that some crashes might be caused by Perian, but I am not 100% sure.
If you are willing to run a few tests for me I can send you a debug
version which might give some more information to help narrow down the
crashes.

Hi,
the crash seems to happen with any kind of XViD files in avi
containers, and this seems weird, because last week it worked just
fine with the same kind of files.

Here's what console outputs:

02/12/08 20:14:25 iFlicks[19966] CFPropertyListCreateFromXMLData():
Old-style plist parser: missing semicolon in dictionary.
02/12/08 20:15:14 iFlicks[19966] iTunes eventDidFail: Operation could
not be completed. (SBError error -1708.)
02/12/08 20:15:14 [0x0-0x2dd2dd].com.iflicksapp.iFlicks[19966]
iFlicks: unknown type name "tdta".

And the crash report:

Hi Brethil,

Your crash seems to be caused by iTunes. "iTunes eventDidFail:
Operation could not be completed. (SBError error -1708.)" means that
iTunes did not respond to the last request. This usually happens if
ITunes has opened a dialog (e.g. Track Information) or some other app
(like FrontRow) is controlling iTunes.
I am working on this, so that iFlicks doesn't crash, but shows an
alert and lets you retry.

The latest update made it work again.
Thanks
