Dear Everyone,
Did you know that you and your family can be a host family for an international student from other country - students that will be in Cambodia around June-August this year to run social projects for positive impact in Cambodia?
Why should you host a total stranger in your house?
- It can be the start of a life-long friendship; you have the chance to have another family member from another country.
-
And the next time you travel to their country, you don't have to think twice where you can stay.
- You and your family (esp, your lil sis and brothers) can practice their language and communication skills - in English, German, Chinese, Spanish etc.
- It's not just language you can learn and practice, but also the knowledge of another culture, another world.
- Your family will help make their experience one of the most memorable experience in Cambodia. You can also help showcase the warm and hospitable cultures of Cambodia.
- They are mostly university students who have been strictly selected in their home country based on their passion and determination to develop themselves and make positive impact in a global community.
What can you provide to those students (who are willing to come volunteer to impact Cambodia):
- A place to sleep (and maybe a few meals shared with your family [optional])
- Warmth and hospitality
- The chance to better understand the culture of Cambodia and its people
- A life-changing experience
- A true family in a country not their own.
Note: Each student will be working on a social project or at a local NGO, so they will not be home all the time. They will also need some personal time to hang out with other international students. This means you don't have to take care of the student you host all the time at all.
If you are convinced to be the host family, please sign up here and then you'll be contacted for an orientation.
