[IFLA-L] Invitation to the International Language and Meaning Symposium and Call for Contribution...

Dear the Esteemed members of the International Federation of Library Associations (IFLA),
I am an associate professor in Kastamonu University, Department of Information and Records Management. It is with great pleasure that I, on behalf of Prof. Dr. Hasan Sacit Keseroğlu who is the director of the Department of Information and Records Management, in Kastamonu University, write to invite for “Nazım Hikmet Culture and Art Foundation - Tarık Akan Meetings 3”. Nazım Hikmet Culture and Art Foundation will organize a virtual international symposium with the contribution of Kastamonu University Department of Information and Records Management. The symposium will be online and free of charge. The main theme of Tarık Akan Meetings 3 to be held on September 14-15, 2021 will be: Language and Meaning. (The previous ones were held in 2017 and 2019).
Nazım Hikmet was a well-known and beloved poet, playwright and novelist. His life was not easy. He spent 12 years in prison because of a poem. Tarık Akan was a famous film star and film producer. He also was jailed for two-and-half months with cell confinement following the 1980 Turkish coup d'état.
We, as the instructers of the Kastamonu University, the Dept. of Information and Records Management would like your members to participate in this symposium with a paper.
The details you may need are as follows:
1- These presentations should take about 20 minutes each.
2. A written version of the paper is needed. Abstract of paper submission deadline: 15 May 2021. Full-Text Paper Submission Deadline: 15 August 2021. An abstract which will be included at the beginning of the submissions should be of minimum 150 words and maximum 300 words. For the fulltext version, the number of page is not limited.
The symposium book will be published before the conference. Additionally, the symposium webpage has not yet been completely designed but it is expected to be launched soon. You will be informed about it when it is ready. The main topics which will be included in the symposium is as follows: (However, note that, the topics are not limited to those listed, and all appropriate papers dealing with the issues related with language, meaning and/or information will be considered).
