In the marathon of life we come across people who with their charm capture our heart’s. I had a dream, of becoming a rider.

Motivation was in the prime need.

That’s when in the midst of a million Orkut profiles, I met my brother Bhupen. That wat I call him. Bhupendra, that’s the real name.

His videos and pics taken in the highest terrains of the world were nothing less than amazing.

OutRiderZ was what caught my eye. And I knew I was one of them. Just like they say… birds of the same flock FLY together.

We were indeed destined to fly together.

Let me have the honour to introduce to you one of the Best Riders in INDIA, a hardcore biker, a great advisor, an ICON for young dreamerz.

Bhupen, just like any of us has this flair for a Change which even he thinks is necessary for a better tomorrow.

His chain of contacts across the nation is defenitely an asset for our future ventures to see a united INDIA.

Even though I haven’t seen you in person, I am proud to have a big bro like you. True words are never left unappreciated, just like this J.

Peace.

Hi Karthik and arun

Missed out this sunday participation due to office pressure. I have been

thinking about these issues also and i think we should avoid plastic

completely but choose ecofriendly materials like bamboo or jute or

something. We also need to palce some kinda bamboo sticks around the

memorial to delienate teh same from the general squatting area.

i do not mind putting up the money for the bamboo/eco friendly trash cans

and part sponsor the mobile toilets ( because lack of visible facilities is

the main reason for people who are in a hurry!!!

Happy fixing

Its good to know that the actual people of the beach are out to

support us.. As arun said, its the lack of trash cans and public

toilets that has brought the situation to where it is right now.. A

friend of mine once had an idea of creating dust bins out of plastic

bottles.. It'd look colourful and yet make use of trash itself.. Its

pretty simple actually.. Just string some plastic bottles together and

you got dust bins.. Placing them randomly in the beach is something we

ourselves can do without anybody's help.. Its not like the everybody's

gna stop throwing their garbage outside and redeem in a day.. But

atleast a few would care enough to throw it into the bins and that's a

start..                     Karthik H

We would be delighted to work with you.

Feels good to know that there are more like us.

Thanks to everyone who came over to the beach for help. The new faces were Ashish, Mohan, Naren, Aditya, Praveen, Anamika and ma brother Priyan.

Ashish: I will never deny it if anyone would say he’s my brother. And he lives by the word. Conquering the sea is his dream.

Polite and humble at the same time.

Mohan: His silence speaks for him. That’s the first impression. All ready to help, All ready to change. Good to have you around bro.

Satya : He used the words “FREELANCING” … a very tempting occupation which everyone likes.

And the best part is, he puts it for good purpose. Modest can be a synonym to his character. Thanks brothers… Rock on … ;)

Aditya – The energy put in for thought process is simply amazing. The idea of a better fuel to run engines was superb. Contradicting for not a fight but for a better answer is his area of expertise. Young, talented and my brother.

Praveen: He was so willing to help that he brought along yet another enthusiastic soul. Charming smile and unpretentious looks were added flavours. Talks less even though we share a common mother toungue.

Anamika: My sisters best friend among all of Vijays friend. She sure has a look which says… “Am ready to help”. Silent yet craving for the change.

Priyan : This guy is special. My bro, my bike’s doctor, A good leader, passionate biker, Test piloting new on road arrivals at the circuit. The passion of flying was already in his blood before he had realized it. Amazing advisor, mature yet funny at times.

Special thanks to Arun for getting us contacts from the corporation. We had a chance to meet Mr. Venkatesh. Charming Chennai is his dream too. Was very willing to help with all he’s got. Since he don’t hold an email address let this be where we show our thankfulness to him via mail.

Very special thanks to Ram’s contribution. The biggest ever. Rs.1000/-. Appreciate his trust on the Gen – X.

And we sure wont let you down.

One person contributing Rs.30/- will be more than enough to run the show for a day.

Suggestions are always welcome.

Peace always…

Hi Ram and Arun,

First, let me apologize for not chipping in. Was busy with the zero waste management initiative taken by the TIIC and the corporation of Chennai. They are planning to make Kalakshetra colony ( being chosen as a pilot area) a garbage free zone with segregation and recycling. This will be taken to other areas as well. If this is something that interests you, please feel free to call me at 98414 40682. You can work in your neighbourhood.

What time are you guys meeting next week and where? I will be there.

i visited the adyar zone office today to find out how they would be able to help us. unfortunately the zone officer was not available and i spoke with his asssistant. told me that if we write a letter asking for the beach to be cleaned they would do it. After that i zeroed in on the division office in shastri nagar as the beach falls under their jurisdiction, but by the time i reached reached, everyone had left. i managed to catch one worker outside and enquired with him. he told me to meet the neel metal supervisor in the morning who would readily arrange whatever is required including labour, no letter is necessary.

I know its a little too late, but if any of you happen to read this, try to get to the corp division office in shastri nagar and meet the supervisor by around 7am. The office is on one of the roads off ellaiamman koil st http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=12.99872&lon=80.26224&zoom=17&layers=0B00FTF

Thanks for the beautiful words Arun. You sure have a good choice of them.

I would like to second you for the message you wanna convey. It was me, my brother Vimal and Arun who were free on last Sunday.

So were school kids like Veera, Vijay, Anusha, karthik and Suraj… the YOUNG INDIA..

Manoj AKA Hari has put his heart into envisioning a cleaner city.

Kumaran had an instinct to help us with the shovel, metal broom and their experienced hands. They knew about perfection in cleaning. Its because of them we have clean roads wherever they are posted.

We will get to the neglected areas slowly. And am sure they will still stand tall for the next feat.

Lets join hands for a better tomorrow coz its better late than never.

And we should not forget…. The beach is everyone’s. We are INDIANS and we have our rights,

Its jus that we have to educate them not to do the same. Who’s stopping them from having a bear at their home n pubs…

And Arun, we are together in this. And everyone is interested in helping out. We will join the mailing list.  Let’s keep the mails flowing and the city glowing…

Next Sunday…. There will be more hands…

Peace.

Vinod has shown how each one of us can make a difference. Only three of us went there this sunday- Vinod, his roomate and me. We didnt have anything in hand or a plan in head. No sooner had we started picking up little bits of broken glass from the stinking sands using plastic bags as gloves, we were joined by other individuals who thought that it was their duty to help us. With schoolkids and neel metal employees lending us a hand we were able to replace the sand on one side of the memorial ( http://www.flickr.com/photos/11855965@N00/2883000256/ ). Lets all come together so that we can do this for the entire memorial.

Lets not surrender the beach to a bunch of litterrers and drunks. We just need to show them that the beach belongs to everyone of us and must set an example for them to follow.

Thanks for the email bro. J

And as I said.. True words never go unappreciated. The Gen – X we are talking about here are much more aggressive, stronger, sharper and it’s as obvious on screen as on the war field.

The excellence shown by the new INDIA has started getting notice. INDIA has started to shine.

And I am proud to be a part of The Gen – X.

The words “ I CARE TOO” is what on the tip of everyone’s tongue. But what was stopping us all this while.

Its hard time we stopped asking a second opinion before doing a good deed. And its hard time we hit the wall.

Today we are few, tomorrow there will be more.

A willing INDIA with a new look..

We feel… A SELFISH mind can never conquer hearts, maybe money or fame or status…!!

Today I see selfless souls trying hard to make a change. We feel that this change should help for a better generation.

I see a transmogrification. Yes it’s bizarre to accept changes quickly.

But we know that time is less for a change.

Am with you for this change, my brothers…. Coz as you said... “THE ONLY THING THAT IS CONSTANT IN LIFE, IS "CHANGE”

Peace..

Hello all,

Greetings. The name's Waseem, doing my B.Com in correspondence and also Chartered Accountancy course. I stay in Velachery and I'm 19 yrs of age.

First of all, i wish to thank my dear brother Vinod Sidarthan for giving my fellow mates and me due credit in helping him with his wonderful initiative of cleaning up the Kaj Memorial. It was an experience like never before and i would be lying if i say that we did not have fun in what we did, for we thoroughly enjoyed it. It was indeed a very satisfying experience.

(Of course its another story that when i told my mum abt this, the 1st thing she did wonder was why someone who hadn't cleaned up his own room in years was all of a sudden interested in cleaning up some dilapidated monument in the city) ;)

I have been following the train of e-mails that have been exchanged so far and thought best to chip in with my mail just to show that "I CARE TOO". All around us we're witnessing, in our country, a sudden growth in social awareness and developments in areas right from sports, politics, social welfare, infrastructure et all and gaining global recognition in everything we do. A major part of all this is being contributed by the new-age, tech-savvy & educated Indian and a lot more is expected of the Gen-X.

I'm proud to say that i have started my share of contribution (The Kaj Memorial clean up remember)and hope to involve myself in many more such initiatives.

Motivating each other will be the best way to keep our enthusiasm alive and kicking for involving ourselves in more such activities and make the world (at least Chennai as of now) a better place to live in. I sincerely hope that our numbers increase steadily and each blessed soul be a part of this CHANGE.

FOR, THE ONLY THING THAT IS CONSTANT IN LIFE, IS "CHANGE".

God bless. Peace to all.

Hi again Sasitha and Jegath,

As I said before, your words of appreciation and motivation has helped us move yet another block.

The monument has been painted more than three quarter.

We still don't have the ladders so we thought of cleaning up junk near KAJ.

The debris around the same are being cleared by the help of local crowd itself.

There are a couple of people who I want to thank for their effort and support.

Feroz – He's my friend, co-rider and my brother. Practicing Martial arts and Animation is yet another part of him.

Mature, understanding, cool and the very first who extended help and support. And yes, he kept his word helping us around under the sun even though he was fasting.

Waseem – Feroz's cousin, my friend and my young bro. An extrovert, smart, live wire, thinking out of the box is not something new for him. Multitasking between work and study. The art of Parkour is being practiced with dedication whenever he gets free time. And yhea, forgot to say… He too is fasting.

Dhivya Lakshmi – Low profile with high Thoughts, That's Dhivya as I know. Pursuing masters' in Bio tech. Green Earth is a dream of hers jus like everyone else. The ideas to make them true are truly amazing and motivating. She knows now that GREEN Chennai is not far away as all of us are together now.

Reneav – Biker, student and my brother. Football is a past time and he scores good. Loves his bike so much that he did a heart transplant to his machine.

Vimal – My room mate, my friend and a brother with the same mother tongue. Drives with a passion for social service.

Aishwarya – Calm n cool. Doing her graduation in NIFT. An extra helping hand for all of us.

Ram – The name is Godly. The actions almost the same. A business man with twist of ideas.

Arun – Young, talented and gifted with words, friend and a bro to me. The words he use are strong and gripping trying his way through the public sector for help.

I wish him peace in his life.

Vijay – My sisters class mate, good friend and an intellect. Hard worker and a humble comrade.

ManojHari is the name called by his friends. I wont forget him coz he helped even without being asked for. Charming smile was an added flavour.

Veera – A young smart boy studying in 10th grade in Anna School. Yet another determined young blood fighting for a change. Help was offered as if he knew we needed help. We are proud of him coz he LIVES up to his name.

Vijay – young bubbly boy with a passion of biking. Stunting is in his blood and so is helping.

Anusha – Friend of Vijay, young and helpful when the story of KAJ was recited. Her contribution of Rs.20 was the first we got all this while.

She knew why we are cleaning up the place and am sure she and Vijay would be back with more helping hands.

Karthik, Suraj and another friend of his (My apologies I couldn't remember his name) were couple of beach boys who also ha a dream of seeing a brighter and cleaner beach. They were more than happy to help.

Kumaran – Polite and ready to help were yet another words I can describe. Works for the corporation. Easy to talk and was very willing to help with his colleague. The readiness shown in lending their tools (shovel and metal broom) was remarkable.

The names will increase so as the mails.

This would be just an example to show that almost everyone wants a change. You, me and everyone.

And all we needed was a spark. We believe the spark is set.

Now we need you to set it on fire.

I believe in you.

PEACE.

Dear Sasitha,

The below mail was sent to the GIVELIFE team almost a week back.

Didn't get any positive response till now. So was wondering if I entered the generic email address incorrectly.

Just want to make sure if you are still there to help.

And FYI, we have painted the monument WHITE half way as we could not find a ladder to paint the top of the building.

We are happy that at least there were some kids who were more than ready to help us.

We believe that we are not wasting our words on this email as we are not writing for fun.

Thanks for your understanding.

Peace.

Hi Team,

To whoever is reading this email.

To start with let me thanks you for all the support and dedication you have shown to throw light into the darkness.

Ignorance was mine and everyone's darkness. Towards life, towards public and value awareness.

I would like to thank Ms. Sasitha for accepting my words of appreciation.

I would like to thank Fr. Jegath Gaspar Raj for his valuable contribution towards FAITH, HOPE and LIFE.

I would like to thank Ms. Kanimozhi for her valuable support for a cause.

I thank Ms. Akhila Srinivasan for her extended support for this noble cause.

I don't know the names of others who are a part of this GREAT TEAM.

But let this be where I speak out my heart to you. Each and every one of you who has worked for this meaningful REASON.

We want you to know that we INDIANS are blessed to have BEAUTIFUL SOULS like YOU.

We want you to know that what you work for has shown me a way to live a better life.

We want you to know that there are others thinking just like me.

We want you to know that this RUN was the longest ever in our lives.

And I want you to know that we are ready to RUN as much as it takes to make our DREAM of seeing a better INDIA…. A better WORLD...!!

When I went through the CERTIFICATE OF APPRECIATION, I read those beautiful lines..."Thanks for being a part of this very meaningful Run"

We want you to know that, that one word of appreciation was enough for me to push myself to run that extra mile.

It was jus like those posters which said "If you Run, you can send us back to school" "If you Run, I can concentrate on my studies"

Most of us who have never run maybe even 3 kms. But your words pushed us all the way. I thank you for those inspiring WORDS.

I believe everyone must have had a glimpse of how it feels like breaking apart during the run. Am sure they must have the same pain and thirst which I felt. And am sure their bodies were tiring just like mine.

For once we felt we were ONE.

Tomorrow morning 5:30 am we will be there at Besant Nagar Beach.

We go there to watch the sea and the sunset. But this time we want to do something meaningful jus like the RUN.

We are gonna clean the beach as much as we can. The monument on the beach which was constructed in remembrance of KAJ SCHMIDT

On Dec 30, 1930 for saving a humans life while sacrificing his own, is being treated like a restroom, a place to drink and piss.

We are going to paint it WHITE.

Help us if you can. I know this email came late. But as we say…..

" Better Late than NEVER "  !!!

Peace always….

Hi Siddarth,
Thanks for your thought provoking letter.
We at Tamil maiyam had indeed thought over this many a times and we have a plan to help budding sportsmen in our city. We are happy to know that people have realized that their fellowmen need support and this itself is an achievement for us.

Once again thanks for your support.

Dear Sasitha,

I had a wonderful time running the marathon. To be more precise, this was the first ever in my life.

I saw different people joining hands for a better cause.

I felt pain so unimaginable; thirst so deep and I have decided not to turn my back on anyone who needs help.

I realize the worth of saving water, I realize the need of dedication.

I saw my city like never before. I felt the need of support. I felt the need for a cleaner city.

I thought one person cannot make a difference.

I was wrong and I wanna prove it wrong.

I saw athletes spending their last drop of blood for the prize money. Of course they have their reasons to win the amount.

I saw them running without shoes. That's where I stopped. Was it because they love running under the scorching sun on bare foot, was it because they are used to it, or was it because they couldn't afford to buy a proper pair of shoes.

I thought they were professionals. Where are the sponsors?

I wish you read this over and over again till you realize that there are still more talented kids round the block.

Find them and help them.

My words find no end. This is the least I can do.

I have found a way and I thank you for showing me the same.

I believe in you and the cause you support.

Peace always…

Hi siddarth

I have become an ardent  fan of your passionate outpourings ( what enthu/what fierceness of belief) but would request you to send cc to all only for issues that concern Kaj.schmidt clean up or anything that would interest Ifixers and not all emails and hobby mails. This is a sure turn off for many and they have complained of spam. Let the viking in you conquer the nether worlds and hearts of all the intrepid conquerors.

wishing the biking community the very best in their quest for truth and change.

Regards

Ram

The chase of a dream was a common thing in my friend.

“ Never say DIE “ was de motto. Untamed Energy is the fuel. The courage to break through walls.

Unmatched command over lexis. Motivator, Biker, Trekker, NGO activist, Software Engineer, a fierce warrior in the game of LIFE.

A passion to Change de world is his vision too. The heart to spill the last drop of blood to make this world a better place to live, which we call as our MOTHER.

I remember his talk during a debate on mercy killing. When asked if his own mother was completely paralyzed what he would do, the answers were true from the heart….. “ I would spend the last penny in my pocket, the last drop of blood in my heart to make her live “ !!

This is how I know JOZ aka Joseph.

My best friend, and a charming brother.

Joz and Bhupen will start their job of CHANGE in Pune along with fellow riders, friends and colleagues as they know this has to happen now … or never.

We are with you brothers….

Lets ride together.

Peace.

Dear Everyone,

Bhupen, with his flair captured hearts of bikers all around INDIA and now this is going to be where we start the new turn in this CHANGE.

He works for an MNC in PUNE, Maharashtra.

Biking is the air he breathes. Founder of one of the biggest biking communities across the nation… OutRiderZ

Just like we arrange riders to go for long drives, he can get them into to loop slowly getting their hands dirty J.

Am very sure all of our OutRiding brothers will have the desire to be the reason for this noble change.

Let this be where I salute all the bikers of INDIA for their courage and dedication towards their dream…… FLY !!!

Let this be where we show the compassionate side of BIKERS.

Special thanks to new hands…

Shravan – Ex RJ, Biker, Viscom student, amazing photographer, attention grabber and My daring brother.

The talent to talk us through his words are quiet amazing J

Sri Vatsan – Amazing talker, amazing jokes and a biker at heart.

His words of truth are unmatchable…

Even he has a dream to fly.

Shillika – Charming in words as well as in deeds. A warm smile and a  “HI “ was enough for her to start helping us.

Its so true that a smile can change the world J

Faisal – Vijay’s friend, now my brother too..  football is a way of socializing for him and he is good at it. A deep thinker.

               Change is what he craves.

Aditya – cool, funny and good at heart. The first impression was him keeping his promise of coming back in the evening and helping us around.

Clean up the roads, filling the gutter, demonstrations, rallies, clothes and food for street kids, awareness campaigns, planting trees……..

Let’s do whatever it takes to see our dream INDIA come true.

I want to see the New INDIA rise like the phoenix …. And so do you….

Peace always…
