IEM (Southern Branch) Activity: Half-Day Technical Visit to “Reinforced Concrete Jacking Pipe Product”

Synopsis:
SPC Industries Sdn. Bhd. specializing in precast concrete business, was established in 2002 and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kimlun Corporation Berhad, a public listed company in Malaysia. This company is certified to ISO9001:2008 Quality Management System standard and is also recognized by Building & Construction Authority (BCA) Singapore as a Pre-caster.
As one of the major precast
manufacturers in the market, their products range covers Precast Tunnel
Segments, Segmental Box Girders, Industrialised Building System (IBS) products
and Reinforced Concrete Jacking Pipes. SPC Industries has extensive experience
in manufacturing Precast Tunnel Segments for Singapore MRT Circle line
Contracts, Down Town Line 2 and has currently ongoing Down Line 3 and Thompson
Line Contracts. This company has the distinction of being one of the preferred
suppliers to the biggest infrastructure project in Malaysia i.e. the Klang
Valley Mass Rapid Transport’s (KVMRT) where they are the supplier to the elevated
viaducts segmental box girders and underground precast tunnel segments.
IEM (Southern Branch) is organizing this visit to get information about the manufacturing process of precast concrete product ranging from Segment Tunnel, Hollow Core Slabs, Jacking Pipe and etc.

The visit is strictly limited to 30 participants only. Registration will be on a first-come-first-serve basis REGISTRATION IS CONFIRMED ONLY WITH PAYMENT RECEIVED. Kindly return the reply slip to the IEM (SB) office before 2nd September 2014 together with a non-refundable commitment fee of RM50.00 per person (RM90.00 for non-IEM members) and made payable to The Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (Southern Branch). Alternatively, you could bank-in the Commitment Fees into the Institution’s Maybank Current Account (No. 5-013920-15708) and to facsimile the bank-in slip as well as the Reply Slip to the Institution. Please note that the fees must be settled in advance prior to the visit. Please also be reminded that if a place is reserved and the intended participant failed to attend the visit, the fee will still have to be settled in full.
