Monday started off rather cold with sub 0°F temperatures along with considerably dry air with dew point temperatures around -10°F to -20°F over Iowa. For Ames, the minimum dew point temperature as reported by the hourly airport readings bottomed out at -16°F. The featured chart looks into the number of winter season days each year with such a low daily minimum dew point reading.
