CoD Satellite Imagery Archive

If you like looking at weather satellite imagery, you are likely well aware of the excellent College of DuPage (CoD) NEXLAB website providing near real-time imagery from NOAA's GOES Satellites. About nine years ago, the IEM through the MTArchive project started to archive the imagery that the CoD website generates. This archive is massive and, at the time, mostly consisted of massive multi-gigabit ZIP files containing the daily imagery, which was not pleasant to use. Due to some Iowa State cloud storage provider changes and availability of some local storage, this archive has been reorganized and is now more easily viewable through a online IEM tool. The featured image is a screenshot from the tool showing an interesting day during May 2019 with smoke mostly delineating where clouds were able to develop. As with everything on this website, your feedback is welcome and the tool will be improved to help make the archive even more accessible.
