IEEE PS Singapore Chapter student travel grant award
To encourage the students to attend IEEE conferences on Photonics, this year our IEEE PS Singapore Chapter will provide “IEEE PS Singapore Chapter student travel grant award” for up to 10 students ($300 each) to attend top international conferences, if the budget allows. The requirement and application procedure:
1. The candidate must be a student member of IEEE Photonics Society Singapore Chapter. The candidate should not have received this grant before.
2. The candidate must have a paper accepted by the conference in the following list, as the first student author:
Conference on Optical Fiber Communication (OFC)
Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics (CLEO)
Europe Conference on Optical Communication (ECOC)
OptoElectronics and Communications Conference (OECC)
International Conference on Optical Fibre Sensors(OFS)
International Topical Meeting on Microwave Photonics (MWP)
annual meeting of the IEEE photonics society (PHO)
3. The first 10 qualified applicants within this year will get the award, providing the budget allows.
4. For application, please e-mail your application documents to Prof. ZHONG Wende (EWDZ...@ntu.edu.sg), which includes:
a. the acceptance letter/e-mail of the paper
b. a copy of the paper
c. a justification letter (your travel plan and budget, why need the award, etc.)
