您好！

今年是IEEE成立125周年，我们将迎来一系列庆祝活动，包括如下征文活动，会议被IEEE出版，并被EI检索，并会有获得奖品的机会，FYI。非常遗憾的是我们的Secretary and a Treasurer职位仍然空缺，希望有兴趣致力于学术及学术社交活动的同学能够进行这一志愿者工作，通常我们的活动将简短并很有意义，因此只需占用大家很少的空余时间。热切期望能有同学与我联系进行我们Branch的组织事宜！

感谢长期以来，作为IEEE HUST Student Branch主席，你对IEEE工作做出的贡献。

今年，是IEEE成立125周年。为了庆祝这一共同的节日，我们计划从5月份到9月份，面向全国大学的青年教师和学生，举办一次"2009IEEE青年信息、计算与通信技术大会”，这个会议将作为IEEE正式的学术会议，会议收录的论文，将被IEEE出版，并被EI检索。同时，为了鼓励广大学生们踊跃参与，我们还与微软亚洲研究院合作，在会议期间同期进行“微软杯”IEEE中国学生论文大赛，凡是向会议投稿的学生，将自动参加这次大赛。大赛本身将提供奖品和奖状，获奖者还将被邀请于9月21~22日来北京，参加“IEEE125周年庆典”（北京站），并由IEEE主席颁发奖状和奖品。

 

我觉得，这是IEEE学生会员和学生分会得大显身手的好机会，希望你能同咱们华工学生分会的其他骨干一道，动员会员和非会员积极参与，同时，也借这个机会多多发展学生会员。

 

我明后天正好来武汉出差，希望约你和分会主要骨干同学们一个时间，大家沟通一下这件事。

Thank you for your concern and support. I have got contact with Develop Director of IEEE China Representive, Mr. Hongliang He. He will arrive at F401, Wuhan National Lab. for Opto-electronics at 3 or 4 O'clock tomorrow to discuss about the involvement of our student branch in 'IEEE Youngth Conference on Information, Computation and Telecommunication Technology'.

I have asked about the CFP and will forward the information to you as soon as I know. I am sure I will get this information in tomorrow's meeting. If you are interested in it and want to know about it at first time, you can participate the meeting and contact me.
