Hi everyone,

I wanted to share an upcoming opportunity that may be of interest to the geospatial, data science, climate, and open-data communities.

Bias Bounty Mapping Equity Challenge

The challenge explores an important question: Are the communities most vulnerable to climate risk also the least well-mapped?

Participants will analyze geospatial coverage gaps in open map data and examine how those gaps intersect with climate and social vulnerability. The challenge draws on datasets including Overture Maps, the CDC Social Vulnerability Index, and climate hazard data, with submissions evaluated on both accuracy and equity.
